Failing to guarantee children in Northwest Syria can access their rights to nationality and legal identity will leave these children living on the margins, vulnerable to harms associated with exclusion and statelessness.

Mai and Leen are two of the more than one million children in Northwest #Syria out of school. Their father has been missing since 2013 and their parents’ marriage was never registered, leaving them with no documentation and denied access to education and healthcare.
