Rina S Khan Satti Plastic taken to MHNP at zoo chowk was checked today by @DGEPA myself with Islamabad Wildlife Management Board (IWMB) staff and police at the checking point. More than 50 cars were checked, and 5kg plastic confiscated . Vehicl No BBS 96 kia Sportage should at us Deputy Commissioner Islamabad to take action.
These camera traps will be used by Islamabad Wildlife Management Board (IWMB) to conduct another survey of common leopard population inside Margallah Hills National Park! The last survey was completed in 2021. With new results we will know if leopard numbers are growing!
It’s Leopard Day today! Good news is that Islamabad Wildlife Management Board (IWMB) was recently awarded WWF-Pakistan scientific committee grant to raise awareness about leopards in villages living in MHNP to avoid conflict. Plus IWMB’s dedicated volunteer Asad Khan has donated 11 camera traps!
