All engines back on shed and footplate gear cleaned and left on Fletcher Jennings steam laundry drying apparatus. That’s a wrap for Heritage Weekend 2024. Thanks to all volunteers, staff and visitors to Talyllyn Railway for making it such a success. Next one 13/14 September 2025!

Finally visited the lovely Porthmadog Maritime Museum this afternoon - packed full of fascinating history of Porthmadog, the slate quarries and railway that shaped the maritime industry here, and the ships themselves. All for just £2!

Closing the doors at Pendre last week for the final time this year, ruminating on another great year volunteering Talyllyn Railway, how fortunate and privileged I am to spend time at such a historic railway, operate such famous locomotives, and volunteer with such great people
