Glad to see the work from my PhD in the Ritter Lab out in Nature Catalysis. Superb experience collaborating with Shengyang Ni from the Cornellab!!! Check it out if you’re interested in forming C-heteroatom bond from small, complex electron-rich arenes. Happy reading!!!
Thiamin Biosynthesis!! Radical SAM Enzyme!! Remarkably Complex Chemistry!! Check out our work on the mechanistic enzymology of the ThiC-catalyzed reaction in bacterial thiamin biosynthesis in ACS Central Science. It was a great team effort. (1/3) pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac…
The final version of this article is out now in Organometallics. Do check this out pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac… Congratulations @Ashish24934821
A major team effort (Rutgers, UNC and AUB)! Synthesis and multi-pronged study of a new Mo catalyst for N2 to NH3 yields deeper insight into the workings of such catalysts. Congrats team leads Santanu Malakar Souvik Mandal Samuel Zhou chemrxiv.org/engage/chemrxi…
New preprint from Atul Thakur on another Titan cryomineral in a plastic phase Weak interactions = nearly free rotation and disorder persisting to very low temperatures arxiv.org/abs/2405.17751

Now published in ACS Earth Space Chem ! Check out Atul Thakur's latest on plastic crystals on Titan - this one might still be rotating at very low temperatures 🥶🪐 pubs.acs.org/doi/full/10.10…
Excited to share a new paper published in J. Mater. Chem. family where we show that Bismuth can enhance the electrocatalytic activity of Cobalt oxide towards acidic oxygen evolution reaction (OER) and Bismuth can also serve as an active site. doi.org/10.1039/D4TA02…
Attending #ACSFall2024 ? Do check out Soham Chakraborty talk on C-H activation using pincer ruthenium complexes. Congratulations🍾🎈🎊
Congratulations to Goldman Group member @das_soumyadipa for her successful dissertation defense. She is headed to Pfizer Inc. for her next journey 🎉🎁
Goldman Group Ashish Rutgers University, Chemistry & Chemical Biology Several bizarre aspects of this system include a huge preference for both dehydrogenation AND hydrogenation of 5, 7 and 8 membered rings vs. 6-membered. Much gratitude (and possible co-authorship?) to any organic-savvy chemist who can find a good application for this selectivity!
Kudos to Vikas Saini for a detailed work on Pincer–Ruthenium Catalyzed Selective α‐Alkylation of Nitriles - Vikas - ChemCatChem - Wiley Online Library …mistry-europe.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/cc… Department of Chemistry IITG IIT Guwahati Centre for Nanotechnology, IIT Guwahati Anusandhan National Research Foundation Chemistry Europe
Proud of this work with collaborator (and former group member) Santanu Malakar @random_chemist, lead author Souvik Mandal Souvik Mandal, and team including Samuel Zhou, Rachel Allen, Faraj Hasanayn, Alex Miller, Quinton Bruch - see paper for all authors...!
🚨Check out this preprint from Goldman Group on (Pybox)Os-catalyzed tail-to-tail homo/hetero coupling of α-olefins. Striking mechanistic differences from isoelectronic (Phebox)Ir shed light on fundamental oxidative addition/reductive elimination steps. go.shr.lc/4mW0XaY
