It’s been a week of career opportunities and growth and teaching and talking to people about what careers with NSP are all about. The NSP experience was a great success, yesterday was spent in Ansley & Litchfield talking with students, what a week, and it’s not over yet!!

Troop E Troopers were invited to take part in the #CincoDeMayo parade in Scottsbluff today and Sgt Bowlin/Horak (#NSP234) & Troopers Garfio (#NSP483), Jones (#NSP253) & Trooper Buck L Up were proud to be there!!

Out at the Colorado Springs Military & Vererans Employment Expo this afternoon and within the first 15 minutes I’ve already connected with a few former, potentially returning, Nebraskans. It’s never too late to come back to #TheGoodLife.

Next week is Police Week, a week in which we honor the fallen from around the country. Sadly, this year comes with the addition of Trooper Kyle McAcy #302 to our NSP memorials. We will always remember and honor Kyle, and all 13 fallen Nebraska Troopers.

NSP Troop E hosted the Hemingford 3rd grade class for their annual visit. They learned about different divisions of the Patrol, the dangers of impaired driving, game conservation, and more. Nebraska Game and Parks

As most of you already know, we had our annual visit from the Hemingford 3rd grade class to the Scottsbluff Office yesterday. We all had a lot of fun while the kids learned a lot about safety and our agency. Already looking forward to next years visit!!!!! Hemingford Schools

You never know what a bright, sunshiny, Monday morning will bring in #WesternNebraska. As I was hooking up the roll- over demonstrator, a furry, not so friendly, raccoon was less than happy to find out I was moving his newfound home. We were both just a little surprised.

Trps Grabill (#NSP235) and Flick (#NSP382) spent the afternoon with the kids at Central Element in Sidney demonstrating why it’s important to wear your seatbelt #EveryTripEveryTime. Bob, the test dummy showed the kids what a bad choice and ride without a seatbelt looks like.

Thanks to the command staff at the Nebraska State Patrol , we were able to branch out our recruiting efforts a “little” further south and what an experience it was!! Fort Sill Oklahoma hosted a career fair today and Trp Grassmyer and I were taken back by the interest in our agency.

The Recruits of Camp 71 are hard at work this week finishing their crash investigation training.

Connecting with other agencies is a great tool that all Officers can benefit from. Trp Grassmyer (#NSP161) and Officer Jenkins from Amarillo PD connected today and expanded a knowledge base on recruiting and other opportunities. NSP Troop B Amarillo Police Dept

Yesterday, on Law Enforcement Memorial Day, Troop E Troopers gathered with other Law Enforcement to show respect and remembrance for those Officers who paid the ultimate price. #NeverForget #AlwaysRemembered #Respect

We had a very special visit to the Scottsbluff office this afternoon from a young man named Kenny. Kenny turned 11 years old last week but we weren’t able to make it to his birthday party, so he came to our office to experience a little about NSP and left with an NSP Birthday bag

Incredibly honored once again to be awarded the MADD Hero Award this year for education and awareness!! Thanks to my Lieutenant for all his support. It was also great that Anna Meier (Miss Scottsbluff Co Teen) was recognized for her hard work as well!!!
