It was estimated that more than 1 million trees were planted in Nebraska on the first Arbor Day. Since then, the Arbor Day Foundation has planted over 500 million trees.

Today marks Chadron State Parks 103rd anniversary!
Chadron State Park was established by a legislative act approved April 25, 1921. This act set aside a section of school land as the first Nebraska State Park.
