If someone is shielding , do we have to pay sick leave for the husband? A GP has provided a sick certificate for the husband. This employee works in a convenience store and is demanding furlough and sick pay. Help! Martin Lewis Rishi Sunak Rt Hon Lord Alok Sharma

Important to be neither complacent nor over dramatic about this. When case numbers low, small changes will do this to R number - we may see similar here in future. However, it is still a sharp reminder that virus hasn’t gone away and could quickly take off again. Care needed.

So the 2m rule will become 1m+ - Hairdressers can open, beauty salons can't. - Cinemas can open, gyms can't. - Pubs and restaurants can open, swimming pools & water parks can't. I'm glad we're following the science, fingers crossed its the right science we're following.

PLEASE stay away from crowded places - even outdoor ones. With a virus as infectious as COVID out there (and it is still out there) behaviour like this is highly dangerous and could so quickly send all our progress into reverse - with devastating consequences #StaySafe

We all want to be outside and enjoying the glorious sunshine but if you are heading out please do it safely and stick to social distancing rules. We are making real progress in tackling this virus and we don’t want to undo everyone’s hard work. Please stay alert and save lives.

COVID-19 has gone down due to the efforts of everyone but is still in general circulation. If we do not follow social distancing guidance then cases will rise again. Naturally people will want to enjoy the sun but we need to do so in a way that is safe for all.

Crowded places risk a resurgence of COVID - and risk lives. I understand the desire to enjoy the hot weather - but PLEASE don’t jeopardise our progress. Follow the rules - they’re for the protection of you and your loved ones. My thanks to @policescotland for helping keep us safe

All large gatherings, including parties, remain banned to stop the spread of COVID19. If someone you know is thinking about joining one, remind them lives may be lost as a result. The Met will take action to prevent illegal gatherings. Violence against them won't be tolerated.

We must continue to maintain social distancing guidelines to ensure we can defeat this virus, especially in cities like Bradford that appear to have higher levels of Covid-19 cases. The Government needs to ensure better communication is passed down to local authorities.

A stark reminder that we must not drop our guard against COVID. 5 million people in and around Melbourne back in strict lockdown for 6 weeks. #StaySafe

Three times he was asked to apologise. Three times he refused. Boris Johnson owes an apology to the hardworking care workers who’ve been taking care of our most vulnerable through #Covid19.

148 new UK #coronavirus deaths recorded in past 24hrs. That’s the highest Saturday fatality number for a month & 3x yesterday’s number. This looks worrying to me. Please be careful out there.

Please do not use @tonikenergy! I urge you to scrutinise your statements on a monthly basis as they largely overestimate your usage and they have clearly lost my monthly readings. I would urge you to move away from them!
