40 years ago today I began my NHS career. As I reflect on that and our CQC report released today, I remain proud and humbled by the work we do. Some outstanding areas and still so much to do to continue to provide high quality and safe compassionate care

This is quite right. There is an urgent need for more social care nurses and associates, and in my area the care providers are shrinking and deregistering. Turner over is 30% and a quarter are Europeans who may be pondering their future.

Im sick of hearing phrases like 'Complex cases' 'Challenging issues' They arent Its YOU..you dont have the understanding you require Talk to the person, their families, their loved ones. Find out what support they need. Then shape & resource that need Simple..not complex

I want kids back to school; I have 3 of school age. What I object to are articles framing teachers as cowards for demanding proper risk assessments and protection are in place before they are forced to return; especially those written by hacks from the safety of their front room.

Moved by BBC Radio 4 Today on care homes. We should: have families as key workers, ensure PPE & testing, have safer occupancy levels, no staff movement, no C+ admissions, alternative care for some, no blanket policies, let people understand risk & decide, indemnify providers. ADASS
