Drawing Club was a huge success today! We all drew our main character, The Superworm, and added a secret code that could alter him/make him fly/dance and many other imaginative ideas! So much joy and creativity with our mark making @DycePrimary @DycePrimary1 Greg Bottrill

P1 had lots of fun at expedition today team building. We were building dens with loose parts in groups and we also used chalk to draw a team we are part of. @DycePrimary @DycePrimary1

P1 were tasked with making an obstacle course for a teddy today at our expedition. We were working in teams and had lots of great communication and support on display. It was lots of fun testing out our courses as well @DycePrimary @DycePrimary1

One P1 learner was so pleased with the map he had drawn that he decided to build it using the blocks and other construction materials!#blockplay @DycePrimary @DycePrimary1

The joy of stories in P1 today!

We had some new teachers in P1 today. We took turns to ask our classmates about the missing numbers from our number line. We were all very quick to spot the missing number! @DycePrimary @DycePrimary1

I loved hearing what made 27 so super and the 5x table all the way up to 50!

P1A love drawing club! There is genuine disappointment any day we are not all off on an adventure together.

Mark Making is always a busy area in the Kingdom of Play!

The way this play transformed and adapted over the course of more than an hour was incredible!

The best buddies P1 could have asked for! Sometimes feels like we’ve got 7 extra members of staff

P1 showed amazing teamwork and creativity building their shelters. We had TVs, sofas and beds to keep our friend the Everywhere Bear cosy on a cold winters day.

I was very impressed with P1 today. They were able to think ahead and give good clear instructions to keep their robot safe.

Our writing this week was “I am sad”. This learner took it a step further through play by drawing an upset unicorn and independently writing “I am sad”. Lovely to see her transfer her skills and use them in a way that was meaningful to her @DycePrimary @DycePrimary1
