The Acting Vice Chancellor Dr. Umar Kakumba has hosted a delegation from Mississippi State University who are here for the HERS (Higher Education Resource Services) Third Academy July 1-6, 2019. HERS is one of the most compelling leadership development opportunities for women in higher education.

Our students of law seem to be miles ahead some of their lecturers in comprehension of contemporary trends in technology. They are winning moot court competitions globally. Their knowledge of Artificial Intelligence is superb from the demos I have witnessed.

I have had the pleasure to meet Mr. Ssuubi Henry Kiyimba the student who was mercilessly attacked on social media as unfit to come to Makerere. I have encouraged him to enjoy his stay at Makerere and work hard on his future career.
