For our third installment of “Harrell's Big Business Backers,” we present Christopher Larson, a retired Microsoft executive who forked over $50K to Harrell’s campaign. What's he buying? Lower taxes for wealthy folks like him.

Zohran Mamdani has apparently decided to make accusing New Yorkers of Islamophobia the theme of his NYC mayoral campaign's final week. Here, Mamdani again discusses 9/11 only in terms of post-attack 'hatred and bigotry' toward Muslims, without saying a

This is incredible reporting by Eric Roston and blows the lid off the lie of US land use. Rebuilding after climate disasters is now 35% of the US economy. This is your brain on car sprawl into high-risk climate zones. This is the high cost of "free" parking.

While the New York City mayoral election increasingly seems like a done deal, the fate of three pro-housing charter amendments remains up in the air. I explain what they do, and why they matter. Vote YES on Questions 2, 3, and 4!

It’s absolutely critical for every Dem to understand that what happened here is Mississippi rocketed up the literacy and math education standings while blue states plummeted. Dems will lose forever if they cannot reclaim the education quality mantle.

San Francisco Unified School District: “black kids innately can’t do math, so we gotta cancel algebra class in the name of equity”. Mississippi, a state with a ton of poor black people: “time to grind phonics and math, kids.” one of these two approaches is racist.

Arab colonisation wiped out countless indigenous languages and civilisations, and drove many to near extinction. Arabs are some of the most prolific colonisers in all of history.

So-called “inclusionary zoning” is bad because it forces middle class renters to shoulder the *entire* financial burden of subsidizing the affordable units in their building while actual rich people, who overwhelmingly live in single family homes they own, pay NOTHING.

States like Texas and Georgia created more livable cities for Black and Latino populations by adopting a pro-growth, capitalist approach to the economy. Despite more state power and ivory tower progressivism, New York and California have failed to do the same.

This would make a lot more sense if employers dictated where you could live. We just need to build a lot more homes near job centers and not a 45-90min drive away.

Land use reform is one of *the* big issues of our day. One paper I quite like estimated that if America had considerably more lax land use, growth rates would be about 0.7 percentage points higher. If America had that since 1980, it would be almost 50% richer today.

The left wants you to blame the rich for your problems. The right wants you to blame foreigners. But if you're going to demagogue, you should focus on the group of people who are actually responsible. Selfish old people are killing the American dream. richardhanania.com/p/start-demago…
