A reminder that cutting means-test based support for people based on their spouse's income only serves to enable abusers and make it even harder for people to leave abusive relationships - particularly if we're talking about disability benefits.

Despite very much NOT being a celebrity (!), I’m proud to be one of the over 100 disabled people undersigning this letter to Keir Starmer as part of the #TakingThePIP campaign against cuts to disability services. Read the letter: takingthepip.co.uk TakingThePIP

We have been warning you about this man and his links to American anti abortion campaigners. Now the mask is slipping about what he would do - the ONLY way to protect abortion access is to make it a human right. Ask your MP to co sign NC17 to the policing bill now.

There were powered moments in Ellie Simmonds' Should I Have Children? doc tonight. Viewers will learn a lot about he toughest decisions people make on disability and parenting But I wish it had looked more at the stigma and fear involved Me in The Guardian theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2…

It was only a matter of time before this started happening in England. We all warned of this, and now it’s inevitable that women are going to start losing rights over their own bodies. What America does, the UK follows. Barbaric.

Audiences will learn a lot from Ellie Simmonds' doc, Should I Have Children? But it doesn't do enough to examine how society's prejudices influence disabled people's decision to have kids, and whether disabled babies are born at all Me for The Guardian theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2…

How horrific. After a cuts meeting, a disabled woman collapsed—and disability minister Timms ignored her. Given his faith, the only explanation is that he thought she was being “hysterical”. This is the discourse Labour keeps using to disability-deny. tinyurl.com/bdfjwucc

For me, PIP allows me to pay for things like my wheelchair, run that wheelchair & cover medical expenses as well as rent my car, which in turn allows me to work. I do everything the government claims the cuts will help people to do, but know if mine is cut I'll have to stop work
