Its quite extraordinary Isabel Oakeshott that you not only admit, but seem to wear as a badge of pride, failing to even ask to see the amendment before writing your piece about it.

I would have happily shared it with you so you could have written from position of fact not fear.

If you want to understand what we are actually proposing for abortion reform here is thoughtful, engaged and calm interview conducted by Ava-Santina and the PoliticsJOE team.

Light not heat is the powerful antidote to the scaremongering of the anti choice movement.

Fwiw looking forward to offer of right of reply from The Spectator & Telegraph Politics The Telegraph who have published misleading and inflammatory articles about abortion reform when they haven't asked to see/seen proposals as parliament in recess. Any news outlet should fact check first!

This man is apparently a research professor (as well as works in the NHS). He's completely and utterly wrong.

The anti choice movement is of course entitled to its own opinion, but not their own facts.

We were warning tonight about connection between anti choice and anti trans campaigners at The Guilty Feminist.

Whatever you may think of existing law which is explicit GRCs not dependent on surgery, only reason to link to abortion to trans rights is to make heat not light.

No dishonest Neil O'Brien MP is you continuing to claim you know what amendment says. Again you are mistaken - the amendment we have proposed gives the DPP direct jurisdiction over this very matter to stop the shadowy push for investigation without accountability we have now.

Decriminalisation doesn't mean deregulation Isabel Oakeshott-in line with many other jurisdictions that decriminalised would still be term limit determining access to abortion.

Think you're looking for heat not light. Know you're not looking at amendment as not published yet.

I am horrified but not surprised Isabel Oakeshott doesn’t know what she’s talking about. Because she hasn’t done her homework or asked.

Amendment expressly upholds the 24 week limit. It makes abortion protected healthcare not criminal matter with legal right to access safely.

Following years of campaigning by our party and our movement, the Government is finally u-turning and dropping their opposition to creating a new offence to protect shopworkers from violence and abuse.

The judges at the European Court of Human Rights are elected by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. They serve a nine year term only and cannot stand again.

Those are MPs from every country that is part of the Council of Europe.

Tory cabinet minister attacks ECHR while last week her own Tory colleagues were in Paris at Council of Europe deciding who these judges are.

They have done for years. Meaning they helped pick those who made this decision too.

This is the respect they have for the rule of law.

Hi Darren Grimes this amendment doesn't change the term limits for abortion. Indeed its explicit about them.

As you've not seen the details can see you're making stuff up rather than admit you don't know you're talking about. But thats what you're doing. 🤷‍♀️

A very clear denial Neil O'Brien MP of allegation support 'killing a baby the day before birth'.

You are opining about something you haven't even bothered to read. I know as I know you haven't seen text of amendment yet.

I get you want clicks, but this is your fears not fact.

Ask your MP to back NC40 to the criminal justice bill and ensure those who oppose abortion cannot use their position to undermine access behind the scenes. The World at One

Yes I am. Categorically. As I did on the record. There is no change to the time limits for access made by this amendment.

Tbh not surprised you didn’t copy me into this Neil O'Brien MP - you know would ask you how you know what an amendment you haven’t seen does.

I trust women to choose what happens to their bodies. I don’t trust any MP who thinks they know better without any foundation at all.

You may support a woman’s right to choose, but unless we get ahead of those who don’t changing law could give them chance to restrict access. Ask your MP to back NC40 to criminal justice bill to lock in our human right to safe and legal abortion care. theguardian.com/commentisfree/…
