It's time the Govt gave its response to the #HughesReport or the true reason for the 18month delay. The majority of those harmed by Valproate are now into their 30s & 40s & have already suffered enough. This could have been avoided, instead its become a lifelong disability.

As we watch Keir Starmer and his team expand NHS privatisation, please remember that he was elected to become Labour leader saying specifically that he would remove NHS private outsourcing. He then quietly dropped this pledge in Summer 2022. This isn’t OK 🚨

I think a lot of ignorance about disability comes because many simply cannot comprehend how many of us manage with the symptoms we have. They think we must be exaggerating. The truth is were nearly always doing the opposite. It's almost always worse than we say.

Hey Keir Starmer! The deadline to reply to the UN passed! The UN called out your government (for your policies towards disabled people). #DisabilityRebellion #DPAC #TakingThePIP #CripsAgainstCuts Link below to UN response: https:// tbinternet.ohchr.org/_layouts/15/

But not a disgrace in 2025, where living in poverty is apparently a good thing as it "incentivises" you into work...like magic! Isn't poverty great?

Apparently, if you’re disabled, you’re supposed to eat gruel, rot in a silent room with no TV or entertainment, never go out (but also not get food delivered), have no life, no comforts, no basic necessities, no rights, and no help. No benefits, no support — just deliberate

The second part of today’s Hall of Shame double bill: lastly we have Richard Tice who has yet again been on social media today spreading harmful rhetoric against people on benefits. This drives up hatred against disabled people and other people who claim benefits. Shame on

No, we’re not “over-medicalising” mental illness. No, disabled people aren’t “scamming” the welfare system. No, people don’t get £3.5K in benefits each month. No, it’s not easy to get benefits. If it’s so easy to get benefits, try it yourself and see how you get on. The

Why are numbers on UC higher? 1. People moved off old benefits onto UC (without the option) 2. Rising pension age means more people in working age system for longer 3. More people with ill health & disabilities, barriers to treatment, Covid legacy 4. Deepening poverty... 1/2

No Steve- you told us clearly you were cutting benefits to remove the "incentive" for a disabled person to "declare themselves unfit for work" for a "financial bonus" and to stop them being too "comfortable". Stop gaslighting everyone and go back to reading the Times eh?

"1 million more people claiming Universal Credit in the last year" Yeah, mostly because people are being moved from legacy benefits onto UC. But don't let the facts get in the way of your agenda...

On today’s Hall of Shame, we have Ann Widdecombe. On Jeremy Vine today, she claimed people abuse disability benefits. Zack Polanski asked her several times for evidence: “l asked several times for her evidence - she said she'd "heard it from people" when she was a minister…”

Disabled people shouldn't have to spend the limited energy they do have, fighting for basic rights and going through endless assessments & reviews just to try and survive. It's nothing but cruelty.

On today’s Hall of Fame (politician edition), we have Hefin David, Minister of the Senedd for Caerphilly, who sadly passed away yesterday aged 47. He was a strong voice for disability rights. Hefin David wasn’t just a politician – he was a real fighter for autistic people and

Let it never be forgotten how Labour whipped up record levels of hate against disabled people and then sat back and enjoyed the show because they reckoned it would benefit them. They didn't HAVE to do this, they WANTED to. Even the "rebels" have offered minimal resistance.

Most people who apply for PIP have their claims rejected. Most people who appeal their rejection have the rejection overturned. This is the sign of a broken assessment system. The appeal success should not be so high, as the initial assessments should get it right more often.
