A woman was at the Knocked Loose show in business clothes and a full face of makeup like she came directly from her corporate job at a Fortune 500 company and still screamed every word and went harder in the pit than anyone else there. I don’t know her but I love her for that.

i wasted a lot of energy over the years staying in spaces where i thought, if i could just show to this person or these people my light and my heart and value, they’d reciprocate the energy. lesson: your worth is not predicated on whether or not others can recognize it in you.

Life Update: Today is my first day being self-employed full time.

The Baked Brothers Stage FOH at Furnace Fest did Movements so dirty. Not to mention, something is seriously wrong if the band has to yell at security to actually catch crowd surfers instead of letting them fall to the ground. Movements deserved better.

I could only dream of having the audacity of elderly people with seats at the back of the plane who get up and queue to leave as soon as it lands.
