NEW: Responding to Premier Ford’s comments that he’s “blowing smoke” & won’t trigger election before Oct. 2025, NDP leader Jagmeet Singh tells reporters: “I think Doug Ford needs to worry about delivering health care for people in Canada instead of being obsessed with alcohol.”

Save $88.5 billion in tax $ by preventing Hep C instead of treating it once people are infected. Harm reduction (like basically every public health measure) saves a lot (a lot!!) of money by preventing the problem in the first place. Great $ break down by Dr. Andrea Sereda

Today we remember all those who lost their lives to the vile terrorist attack of 9/11. And we honour the heroes who acted selflessly on that day, including first responders. Americans and members of the global community that offered their help and solidarity showed us that

What's happening in Gaza is totally unacceptable. A school turned shelter for around 12,000 people was hit by Israeli airstrikes again today. Six of our UNRWA colleagues are among those killed. These dramatic violations of international humanitarian law need to stop now.

We're gathering for our caucus strategy session in Montreal, and we're looking forward to presenting the bold and progressive vision that the Liberals have so clearly failed at. Join us in having your say: ndp.ca/be-the-change-…

Thanks to the NDP. The Liberals voted AGAINST dental care when the NDP proposed it. We implemented the NDP plan we campaigned on - the Liberals didn’t even mention it in their platform. It only happened because the NDP forced it by making it a condition of our support.

Liberal handwringing over the carbon tax is certainly a sight. Brought to you by the party that approved over $30 billion in taxpayer dollars to ship more diluted bitumen to our coast, which continues to subsidize oil&gas, and which continues to let big polluters off the hook.

Alistair MacGregor (@amacgregor4cml) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Dan, I remember hearing you on the radio in 2021 (3 short years ago!) defending your plan for carbon pricing for that year’s election. Remember this? cbc.ca/amp/1.5988407

That headline was misleading. But just to be clear, we’ve always been critical of both the Liberal’s specific approach to the carbon tax (allowing big polluters like Suncor to pay 14x less than everyday Canadians) & the Conservatives approach to have no climate plan at all. /1

No, Patrick Weiler. The Globe headline was wrong & is corrected. But while we’re talking about doing what the Conservatives want, maybe you can explain why the Liberals spent $34 billion on the TransMountain Pipeline to export raw bitumen & how that confronts the climate crisis?
