Two days to go until the local elections. My preview for The i Paper from last week: inews.co.uk/opinion/stop-fā¦

"Itās hard to overstate how badly the Conservatives have done ā but one statistic stands out: they have lost two-thirds of all the councillors' seats that they were defending." My analysis of the local election results for Inside Croydon insidecroydon.com/2025/05/02/itsā¦

"The people raising their dislike for cuts to pensionersā winter fuel payments or disability benefit cuts werenāt urging Labour to go further and faster. They want Prime Minister Keir Starmer to stop and do a U-turn." My column for Inside Croydon insidecroydon.com/2025/05/02/itsā¦

"Labour.. say we just need to go further & faster. People think you're going in the wrong direction. They don't want you to go further & faster in taking away pensioners benefits or benefits from disabled people. They want you to stop & change direction" Andrew Fisher šÆ

"The question now is whether the left and centre-left of the party can force a change of direction, or whether Starmer continues to drive Labour āfurther and fasterā to oblivion." My column for The i Paper ... inews.co.uk/opinion/labourā¦

"Labour lost 65% of the council seats it was defending, off the back of what were underwhelming results in 2021. This was the worst set of local election results for a new PM on record" My The i Paper column on why "further and faster" isn't the answer inews.co.uk/opinion/labourā¦

"The governmentās planned disability benefit cuts will hit 700,000 families who are already in poverty, according to internal DWP forecasts obtained by the Guardian" (In addition to the 250,000 people driven into poverty by the cuts) Vile The Labour Party theguardian.com/society/2025/mā¦
