100/100.........at 276 feet, you can 'miss hit' the ball by about 25% and still leave the yard. That's why it's so important to strive for 100/100.

You'll see this a lot on faster pitches down in the zone and/or away. Hitters get full extension more often on this combo of pitch locations. Locking out like this makes the ball jump off the bat more. The highest Exit Velocity in MLB happens middle away and middle down, every

As if on cue, Bubba does the same. Fully locked out on the lower locations, lead leg and lead arm. The locked out lead arm is paramount in softball because of the greater force involved in the ball bat collision in softball hitting.

The lead arm is bent just before impact on the left, but locks very close to impact, if not a millisecond before. This is the very next frame.

Note the location.........hard away is where hitters live, whether they are aware of that or not. The default speed hitters tend to gear to is the hardest pitch away or down.

How hitters generate power is about understanding the principles of 100/100. Making your A Swing 100% on time. Which begs the question, how do you know what your A Swing is? The Homerun Derby featured many different types of swings, but there are some universal movement

Phillies Pitching Coach Caleb Cotham reached out when he got the job at the suggestion of his former boss Derek Johnson, Reds Pitching Coach. We talked Ev & I told him there are no Black Belts yet, he said he would produce the first. I said we'll see........ so let's see.

Aaannd......The Biggest Word in Timing. Tim Hyers, Braves hitting coach, called me about Austin Riley's swing & if I saw anything off. I asked if he soft tossed a ball to Riley, would his swing be off? No obviously, which makes it about timing. His aaannd is off & any issues

We've talked about Black Belt Pitch Sequencing, what does it look like when Black Belt 'Stuff' is used in a White Belt way? That's the elite pitchers get hit hard. I'm offering a VERY Advanced Black Belt Pitch Sequencing Course at the end of this video. DM if interested.

Everyone knows lefty batters are WAY better on the down and in pitch than righties yeah? Not in BA, SLG and HR% - One of the oldest Myth's in baseball is not true, at least over the last 10 MLB seasons.
