Senior news writer at TechTarget. I used be a sportswriter, and now I've happily rediscovered how wonderful it is to simply be a fan.

I’ve spent 2 much time over the last 7 hrs processing what happened btwn #Michigan and #Wisconsin. I’ve been a fan of Mich since The Judge & General, and went to Wis from 88-92. I ❤️ both. I ❤️ Juwan Howard. But he pitched a hissy fit over a TO, and everything ensued from there.

Thanks to Austin Kronz for a great conversation about evolving #analytics trends and this year's Gartner Magic Quadrant for #BI/analytics. techtarget.com/searchbusiness…

School shootings are not fucking acts of nature, like hurricanes and tornadoes. They're man-made acts of inaction, of cowardice, of corruption by all lawmakers who refuse to pass laws PROVEN BY DATA to stop preventable, senseless shootings like in Uvalde.

Godspeed Mike Leach. The college football world is a less interesting place this morning. His analyses of the best Halloween candy and which Pac-12 mascot would win in a fight were priceless. Thoughts are with his family and other loved ones.

I wish Blake Corum had been healthy and playing tonight. I think so much is different if he’d played - play calling deep in the red zone, in particular, but also establishing a consistent run game given his ability to both make people miss and break tackles. #GoBlue forever.

As demolished as I am by tonight, I’m grateful for one of the most joyous #Michigan seasons I’ve experienced in 40-plus years as a fan. And I think Harbaugh, Weiss, Moore and Minter - who each struggled - will all be better because of tonight’s loss. As will JJ … #GoBlue

The #NCAATournament upsets have been wildly entertaining, but college basketball is broken. That there won’t be a single No. 1 seed even in the Elite Eight is evidence that one-and-done has, over time, decimated the sport. Overemphasis on the 3 hasn’t helped either.

The term “core four” needs to be retired. Bernie Williams was the best hitter of those Yankees championship years, and it’s not close, so why do we keep using it? Seeing it thrown around on Old Timer’s Day as much as it was just came off as a lazy way to tribute a great time in
