🎶 Spreading Holiday Cheer in the Hallways! 🎻 Some of our talented middle school orchestra students decided to spread the holiday spirit yesterday! In a show of initiative, they organized student-led performances to brighten the hallways for their classmates before winter break.

❄️ Brrr Baskets = Big Smiles at BGMS! 🎁 BGMS held a drawing for “Brrr Baskets” today! Sponsored by BGMS PTO & PBIS, the incentive rewarded students for being responsible, respectful & safe. Students earned raffle tickets for positive behavior & entered for a chance to win!

Our BGMS counselors, Mrs. Ondrus & Mrs. Barnhart, visited our elementary schools to help 5th graders transition to 6th grade! They reviewed registration, courses & the MS experience. Registration forms are due Feb. 7. The 5th Grade Open House is Mon. Feb. 3, 7-8 PM in the PAC!

Congrats to our BGMS wrestlers! Leah Hackworth & Eliana Rush shined at the OAC JH Girls District Tournament! Eli pinned her way to DISTRICT CHAMPION & qualified for State! 🏆 Braden Beck won matches at OAC Divisional and Griffin Gillispie is the OAC DIV 4, 100 lbs CHAMPION!

I enjoyed visiting the Learning Center today. Our students did a great job constructing sensory bottles.

Our Volley4Heart Tournament is up and running! All money raised benefits the American Heart Association.

Our Middle School bands did an excellent job tonight at the Winter Concert! BG Schools

Our students raised over $1,200 for the American Heart Association through our Volley4Heart tournament. Congrats to our winning 6th, 7th, and 8th grade teams!

BGMS Learning Center students learned all about waste and recycling and made paper mache bowls out of strips of old newspapers as a fun enrichment activity. The following day, students painted their bowls to personalize them before taking them home to hold small treasures.

Good luck to Eli Rush, Eli Marten, & Coach Gutierrez as they head to Youngstown where Eli & Eli will compete in the OHAthleticCommittee Wrestling State Championships! This 2-day tournament will have over 1,000 middle school wrestlers competing for a state title! Go Bobcats!

Mrs. Remaklus’ Math 8 for 7th grade class explored the Pythagorean Theorem with Starbursts, Cheese-Its & pretzels!📐 They found patterns in right triangles, heard a story about Pythagoras, & learned real-world uses—from construction to crash investigations & more! 🚧🚔#MathFun

🏆 Congrats to Eliana Rush, BG’s FIRST EVER OAC Girls Junior High STATE CHAMPION! Congrats to Eli Marten on competing at the OAC State Wrestling Tournament & going 2-2! We are #bobcatproud of you both! Congrats to their Coaches Gutierrez, Beaverson, & White! Go Bobcats!

Proud of our March PBIS Students of the Month!

Fifth graders previewed middle school life today, led by eighth graders! They toured the building, practiced the cafeteria line, got advice from counselors, principals, & current sixth graders, & met future teachers. Thanks to our student leaders for making them feel welcome!
