Don’t let the Tories get away with hiding this. Their irresponsible and chaotic approach to the economy put jobs at risk, increased mortgages and rents, and pushed up household bills. They also promised huge spending on the never never, that we now have to clean up. #NeverAgain

I hear they are worried that paying nurses and junior doctors fairly might mean there is no money leftover for Michelle Mone and Matt Hancock's pub landlord.

I'm committed to improving the chances of young people and delivering on my mission to break down the barriers to opportunity. We are driving up school standards by replacing the one-word Ofsted grade with new report cards to give parents a clearer picture of school performance.

Last week I was elected Chair of the all-party Pharmacy group of MPs. For 3yrs I worked for LloydsPharmacy on policy helping the sector to get a better deal. Pharmacies are vital for the health of communities, & have huge potential to do more. We’ll be making that case to govt.

I had an opportunity to sit down with the Justice Secretary, Shabana Mahmood MP, to raise issues on behalf of #Exeter constituents, including #spiking offences, changes to sentencing law, and prisoner releases. I’ll work with constituents to lobby for the changes we want to see.

Just because Britain hasn’t been working doesn’t mean it can’t be fixed. Just because we’ve been in power less than 100 days doesn’t mean we’re short of achievements. We’re fixing the foundations so we can rebuild Britain. Change has begun.

Today, Prime Minister Keir Starmer will set out his plans to build a new Britain - one that once again serves the interests of working people. Change begins.

Great opportunity to bang the drum for #Exeter’s businesses and scientific innovation sectors, and talk about the ways we can work together to fulfil our potential at #LabConf24
