Why the recent big fall in people coming to the UK to work in #socialcare? The latest Migration Advisory Committee report suggests it’s due to fundamental issues about the way care is commissioned, which in turn has profound implications for future recruitment into care.Thread ⬇️

The even broader issue is whether it’s sensible and effective to commission #socialcare in this way. If The Labour Party ever gets round to detailing what it means by a ‘National care service’, then you’d think this might be on the agenda.
