💔 This is heroic. However, Moms should not need to educate people about #airpollution after losing a child.
The health sector needs to vastly accelerate curriculum change so all medics know how to respond to #wildfires .

'We need to prioritize forms of energy that minimize harmful effects on human health and the health of the planet.'
From #LNG + nuclear (👎) to problematic party lines, good to talk #climatechange again with Mark Jaccard janelle 𓍊𓋼 CBCEarlyEdition.

'Every sign is pointing to another summer of deadly smoke. And we need to start preparing now.'
Thanks Nicole Ireland for interviewing me about Carter's Project.
We must prevent more deaths by:
⬆️ wildfire smoke protection
⬇️ fossil fuel use

Such fun keynoting Health Quality BC’s Trailblazing Together session at its annual pre-forum this morning.
Love that they included a 20-minute group reflection and discussion on my talk afterwards—so many new collective learnings.

A car share service operating in some of B.C.'s biggest cities is offering free drive time for people who have received a doctor's prescription for nature.
The free membership and drive time is meant to reduce transportation barriers to green spaces.

📢 Good news alert:
Time + time again we hear that transportation is a major barrier to nature access.
Today a new collab between BC Parks Foundation's #PaRx + Evo Car Share is breaking down that barrier.
Proud to be making nature prescription history on #EarthDay .

This #EarthDay 🌎, all eyes are on Ottawa as the #PlasticsTreaty negotiations kick off. Justin Trudeau Steven Guilbeault it’s time to #EndThePlasticEra . That means:
⬇️ Reducing plastic production,
❌ Eliminating unnecessary plastic products,
✔️ Prohibiting chemicals of concern.
I think that I shall never see
a poem lovely as Vancouver in the springtime.
Grateful for these blossom-filled days outside with loved ones.

As one of Tara Tiger Brown Ⓥ 🌲💚's PhD supervisors UBC Forestry for the past 3 years, I've been so impressed by how focused and thoughtful her work has been.
Wonderful to see her work to strengthen nature connection extending beyond the classroom across Metro Vancouver.
