“When I have spent too much time in a conference room, that’s generally when things have gone awry,” he said. “When I go to spend time on the factory floor, or really using the cars, thinking about the rockets, that’s where things have gone better.” Elon Musk on ‘Meetings’

Almost all the govt. applications in India are *not* made for end consumers. They are made for middlemen. AKA ‘agents’.

It’s almost unbelievable that Shreyas Doshi spends so much time compiling his knowledge, simplifies it, and gives out for free. Example - this thread.

Usually when people talk about execution, it's in the past tense. We did X, and voila, we won. They edit & cut out all the dead ends they hit, the stuff they tried that failed. This gives people a f*cked up idea of what execution really is.

Sales in smaller towns (of india) is a diffn deal. My father, who owns a retail store, gauges the walk-in customer by his surname, his profession, which part of the day he walked in, his personal developments etc.. And then creates that sales pitch. All in less than a minute.

Twitter is officially a big deal for me. I accomplished my wildest stretch goals on here. But I don’t like the way it makes me feel. The phone addiction. Dopamine hit after hit. Craving approval and status even more than before. Not present with my family. I don’t like it.

This video from Paytm captures what we need to do most as a country- educate & enable as many women as possible to start making financial decisions. In my personal experience, women manage risk better than men, so they'll probably take better financial decisions #womensday2021

While we all work together to figure out what we can do to help in the current situation, I think the only long-term fix is for as many of us to move away from large cities. This is the answer to many of India’s problems. And now is probably the right time to work towards it. 1/5
