What an enriching experience at the “Translation and Chinese/Sinophone/Sinitic Poetry” seminar I organized with Simona Gallo and Lucas Klein during the 2025 ACLA Annual Meeting! Grateful for three days of thought-provoking discussions and truly inspiring papers!

So proud of Ting for her latest article in the International Feminist Journal of Politics—a powerful extension of her groundbreaking book Religion, Secularism, and Love as a Political Discourse in Modern China. So happy to see your work getting the recognition it deserves, Ting!

Caught the 4K restoration of #WongKarWai’s In the Mood for Love #花樣年華 at Toronto’s Fox Theatre (est. 1914)! Recently, I also wrote two encyclopedia entries on #LiuYichang’s #劉以鬯 fiction, The Drunkard and “Intersection,” which inspired this film’s haunting beauty.
