Great morning in the Frinton/Haven area with crippling views of Dusky Warbler, then to the Haven where I had nice (but brief) views of YBW, Firecrest and Woodcock! Along with hundreds of Redwing, loads of Goldcrest and a couple of Fieldfare! Bring on Norfolk 😁 (📷 Matt Bonnar )

Cracking afternoon in Norfolk! Started off by ticking the Rufous Bush Chat at Stiffkey (✅), what a bird 👌🏻 Then we moved onto Holme and ended the day with Red Flanked Bluetails (✅) Other highlights included 'Eastern' Lesser Whitethroat, Pink Footed Geese and lovely scenery!

After receiving this lovely gesture by the Holland Haven regulars, it reminded me that I hadn't posted any of my 'decent' Dusky Warbler shots. So here you go, enjoy!

And that's a wrap! 2020 has been such a chaotic year but I've had some great times along the way! I managed to pick up a few lifers such as Bee Eater, Gull Billed Tern, Rufous Bush Chat, Dusky Warbler, Temmicks Stint, Tundra Bean Goose and Blyth's Reed Warbler just to name a few!

Split off from my parents yesterday at Minsmere to have a look at the scrapes, I then received a phone call from my dad but due to poor signal I couldn't hear what he was saying. 10 minutes later I receive a picture of a WTE flying over!🤣 #gutted

What a beauty! The Taiga Bean Goose at Hen Reedbeds showed very well yesterday afternoon (Lifer #247), very nice hearing my first Sedge Warblers of the year too. Other highlights included Red Kite, 100's of Sand Martins, 4+ Marsh Harriers and pinging Bearded Tits.

Dartford warbler on ‘bluethroat trail’ by Gc dump (see map). Snow bunting by the raised tee, a flyover Lapland bunting. A little gull south with a small movement of other wildfowl. Blackbirds in every bush, with odd redwing, songie, fieldfare and brambling. Matthew Lonsdale
