Another rich day at #BCPARF 2022. UNBC Faculty of Environment’s Mark Groulx was on an excellent panel on accessibility, Yihang & I got great questions about our talk, Annie Pumphrey gave another strong bear jam talk, & Pam Wright was recognized for 17 years of BCPARF organizing, by Yellowstone to Yukon Conservation Initiative

Nadine Raynolds, a pleasure to connect at #BCPARF, looking forward to continuing the conversation (including sometime in the Slocan Valley, when I make good on a “threat” to Dr. Natasha Carolan & Blaine Cook 😉 <- see also: consider this me connecting good peeps sharing a local 😊).

This is an acutely important issue for the future of parks, not least while we all, through #COP15 and otherwise, celebrate the myriad benefits of time in nature, and consequently see a growing number & diversity of park visitors. Most especially in urban adjacent parks.

And, it's so inspiring and comforting to have heard and learned from the next generation of parks leaders, like Hannah, at #BCPARF2022 this week. With these folx shaping the future, I'm confident it's bright - if not easy, acknowledgedly - for parks and people both.
