Newspapers: “NHS in crisis, unbelievable pressure on hospitals, overcrowding” Also newspapers: “The NHS staff are lazy and greedy and should be grateful for what they get!” Please support NHS staff. They’re not the problem. They’re the ones trying to keep patients safe.💙

I really hate it when people say “my taxes pay your wages” to public sector workers. I have never heard a doctor or nurse say “my training, my long nights studying after work, my moving around from job to job, my absorption of £100,000 in student debt saved your life”.

Wes Streeting took £224,575 in donations from people and companies linked to the private health sector between Jan 2023-2025. 🚨🚨🚨 I find that unconscionable. RT if you agree! itv.com/news/2025-07-1…

It is a breath of fresh air to hear someone stand up & state the facts & real consequences of such a damaging ideological tax .

Wes Streeting tried to turn the public against doctors. But Labour voters aren’t buying it. They support drs taking action to move from £18.62/hr to £22.67/hr, a fair rate for the responsibility we carry. Wes can stop the strikes by restoring our pay. independent.co.uk/news/uk/politi…

Oops - the exams regulator has admitted to a data blunder that has massively inflated the number of pupils getting extra time over the past decade Ofqual says the real level is nearly half what it's been stating, and has pulled a decade of official data telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/07/1…

1 year & 2 weeks in, & the 30-year gilt yield is over 5.5%. This is why everyone in the public sector is feeling the squeeze under Labour. This is why everyone in the private sector is being fleeced under Labour. That’s the problem with socialism…

Real-terms cuts ✅ Teacher nos. down ✅ Ed Tax ✅ Shortfalls for 6th forms ✅ No Ofsted reform ✅ Maintained deficits quadrupled ✅ SEND kids discriminated against ✅ Violent behaviour up ✅ ICT, physics, MFL, Latin & maths support scrapped ✅ I could keep going... Hot air ⬇️⬇️

Simon Gibson Proven vindictiveness. They will never be able to defend their point that this was about children & funding. It’s only ever been about malice.

“[Labour’s] spiteful assault [on private schools] risks the demise of fine schools. The Gov should now apologise to governors, teachers, parents & above all students for the damage disruption & distress being caused by their incoherent and cruel policies.” yorkshirepost.co.uk/news/opinion/c…

Consultants, if people are telling 'you we've all suffered, now is not the time', read this post by Matt at least twice! If old style CEA's existed in the 2008 form UK consultant top pay point pay would be roughly same level as pay in Ireland/Australia for state work.

🚨 FAMILY FARM TAX UPDATE 🚨 Labour has sneaked out the wording of their vindictive Family Farm Tax and impact assessment. In short, they have ignored the evidence from rural and business communities and are sticking with their tax hike. Link here ➡️ assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/media/687a4382…

In 2020, the UK government only had to pay 0.6% on 30 yr gilts. Today it has to pay 5.5%. Imagine your mortgage costs went up 9X and so you had to keep borrowing more just to pay the higher interest. Unlikely to end well.

This headline is a lie. There are 400 fewer teachers than when The Labour Party came to office, and the lowest number of teachers entering the state sector since records began. Why are media outlets publishing this nonsense? yorkshirepost.co.uk/news/opinion/c…

I’m hearing Trusts are being told To seek derogations for P2 work (3 days of action in a month allows time for rebooking), elective sections (the clues in the name), all cancer cases (again it’s three days from a 62 day target, re-organise it!) they’ve had notice and have failed

Shaun Lintern I'm a consultant and was in this weekend keeping patients safe while residents are on strike. Good local planning, as we had, keeps patients safe without needing to request derogations. The BMA are not responsible for local management failures. Full support to the residents.

I have been raising this issue in a personal capacity for many months now, I am glad the BMA are entering into a new dispute regarding doctor unemployment. Over half of our current F2 doctors will be unemployed in just one weeks time. This needs addressing urgently.

My mum today was talking about how she can’t get a GP appointment and has given up. She was shocked when I told her there are thousands of doctors who want to be GPs but the government won’t fund the healthcare system properly, so they were turned away from GP training.

The most powerful reports on why U.K. Drs are leaving & why NHS has to offer world pay rates to have any quality healthcare/ NHS. Saying Drs owe it to the UK or the NHS needs reform isn’t/won’t cut it. The world values their Drs more than the UK. Drs are leaving & wanted abroad.
