Young people have been instrumental in bringing the importance of a climate-resilient world to global attention. UN Youth Delegate Mohammad Naeem represented 🇮🇪 in the #SDG13 Plenary Session at the UN 🇺🇳 this week, where he advocated for greater youth engagement on this topic.

An honour to be invited to Brussels by the Chair of CONUN (UN Working Party), well done Mohammad Naeem for great advocacy to secure this meeting. I highlighted how currently our multilateral system has allowed atrocities to continue, in Sudan, the Congo, Palestine, Ukraine.

Yesterday UNASA-UCT hosted an event "Youth in Power" for young people from national and international levels to share insights and recommendations on how to implement meaningful youth engagement and be part of decision making Thank you to everyone who made this possible.

This week we’re celebrating 20 years of the Ombudsman for Children’s Office in conjunction with the School of Education, MIC Thurles summer school. The theme of this years summer school is how children’s voices have changed the landscape of education and participation over the past two decades.

Delighted to announce I have been appointed to the Children, Equality, Disability, Integration, Youth Advisory Committee on Racism who will be monitoring the implementation of the National Action Plan against Racism. Looking forward to working with the committee and representing young people in Ireland on this group.
