Can you correctly ID Curlew/Whimbrel? Whimbrel have a shorter, straighter bill. Curlew have longer legs. Whimbrel have a dark head crown, light stripe above the eye & dark stripe through the eye. Curlew: Plain head & no distinct markings. RSPB England Wader Quest Mary Colwell
