They've undertaken clinical duties without recognition, a testament to the goodwill that fuels the NHS. Now, they want the wages and backpay.

I cannot begin to tell you some of the horrific experiences residents, shopworkers & local businesses have shared with me about the increase & impact retail crime has had. As a The Labour Party & Co-operative Party candidate for PCC, this is great news today but honestly, it was long overdue

Following years of campaigning by our party and our movement, the Government is finally u-turning and dropping their opposition to creating a new offence to protect shopworkers from violence and abuse.

I’m delighted to be celebrating Eid al-Fitr with friends of mine.

The day of celebration also allows time for reflection; we must tackle the scourge of Islamophobia and rid it from Britain once and for all.
