Our healthcare assistants are mainly low-paid women who have had enough of not being paid for the jobs they do. They've found their confidence, they've found their voice, and now they're standing up to the Chief Exec! 💜

What a story to tell, our Chief Executive came to talk to HCAs on picket line. All staff gathered together to explain why we are not accepting hospital deals. All staff clearly said how unvalued they feel. We will not settle for less. We are still fighting 💜💪❤️UNISON East Midlands

Leicester's Hospitals need to Pay Fair for Patient Care. On the UNISON East Midlands picket line at Leicester Royal Infirmary today with HCAs who are just asking to be paid at the correct grade! They've done the work, pay them for it!

Another day, another loud and proud picket line outside Leicester’s hospitals! 🙌🏻

Our healthcare assistants are asking to be paid for the job they do and get what they’re owed. Not too much to ask is it?

We're back outside Leicester Hospitals today in support of striking UNISON - UK's largest union Health Care Assistants.

Our ask is simple: the trust should #PayFairForPatientCare

Good to catch up with David Blunkett & be reminded of Surestart, the minimum wage & many other transformational projects of the last Labour government.

He’s also as keen as I am to see all of Nottinghamshire, including Newark turn red.
