Territory mapping visit to my section of the BTO Nunnery grounds and lakes plot this morning. Long-term project and great team effort to get the area covered. Nuthatch singing and lots of Wrens! Didn't connect with the Avocet that flew over the lakes heading my way.

Early Breeding Bird Surveys visit to my other square in Thetford Forest, this one covered since 1997. Singing Redstart was my first since 1999 and Mandarin was new for the square. Two Cuckoo, Crossbill. No Tree Pipit this year.
