Does Tokyo Have Bike Lanes? youtube.com/watch?v=_-s5_c… Tokyo is not just a city for public transit, you'd be surprised how effective its cycling system is, as well as where it can improve.

This can be overcome by signal priority measures that use phase insertion. Inserting a green light for transit ahead of the left-turn phases would largely resolve the issue Unfortunately, car-focussed roads departments prevent this from being implemented

I’m a driver. I drive in bus only lanes every chance I get, I stop in virtually every bus zone I see, and I am absolutely ecstatic whenever I hear a car gets ticketed for it. Because I drive the bus. Wish you had interviewed a transit operator, we could explain why this is just.

Cool to see that City of Ottawa implemented the Bank Street off-peak OC Transpo lane in Old Ottawa South this week. I took the bus through this stretch often as a student and it was always painful.
