You know how many men are starting to sarcastically call their wives/girlfriends ‘Amber’ or ‘Miss Heard’ when they are upset or angry? I keep getting messages and comments from women saying this is happening to them in arguments with spouse or exes. The damage is done.

Last week I signed books for three women named Karen and we discussed how their name has somehow become a watchword for entitlement. The whole "Karen" thing is petty meanness cloaked under the self-righteous mantle of punching up. It's hurtful to real people and it should end.

@MujerGuerrera78 Yep. And it's made it difficult for women who are actually named Karen. But basically, it's used to try and shut women up. I've even seen videos from men, creating situations where women stand up for themselves just so they can show it and label her a karen.

A woman named Karen gave her name in a cafe last week & the response was "Eww, I bet you hate that name!" The part that blows my mind is that people like that don't even *see* the reversal that's happened. They still think they're on the side of the angels, mocking "entitled" 1/
