Fantastic to visit TNG Youth & Community Centre run by Youth First. I met some of the young people attending their brilliant holiday programme and caught up with Linda and Cllr. Chris Price From the climbing wall to the recording studio, this is a wonderful local resource.

I am so sorry to hear that Andy Kerr has passed away. He was a giant of the Trade Union & Labour movement and I am proud to have served with him on the NEC for many years. My thoughts are with his family and the wider CWU family. Andy will be greatly missed.

Today I visited the East Dulwich Community Centre. It was great to hear from staff and trustees about the activities they provide for all ages including a children’s after school club as well as dance and pilates classes.  It is clear this is a much-loved community space!

It was great to visit several local businesses on Lordship Lane last week and meet with staff and owners, many of whom have been there for decades. It’s fantastic to see this High Street thriving, but I will also support small businesses with the challenges they are facing.

Lovely to meet with FoBlythe Hill Fields to discuss the projects and events they run including the annual Blythe Hill Fields festival! It was great to hear about their plans to improve biodiversity and to ensure the park appeals to people across the local community.

Brilliant to meet with Eluned Morgan, Wales' first female First Minister. Llongyfarchiadau! Looking forward to working together to deliver the change people voted for🌹

Great to visit the brilliant Peckham Rye Park Fete today!  Lots of wonderful food, plant and book stalls for the local community to enjoy. I also heard from the Friends group about their fantastic Community wildlife garden & their exciting future plans for the park.

Fantastic to pop into Horniman Museum and Gardens and catch up with chief executive Gordon Seabright. It was wonderful to learn about their pioneering coral regeneration project - it’s great to see such world-leading research happening in Forest Hill!
