Microsoft claiming it's Sony's fault that console exclusives exist is hysterical. MS spent so much money buying exclusive games & content that they sold 85m Xbox 360s and still lost money on the generation.

On a similar note, when you see a "Saving" animation in a game, it often takes a lot less time than the animation suggests to save. You'll fail console cert checking if the animation doesn't stay on screen for at least a few seconds to guarantee the player has time to read it.

Apparently you're supposed to ignore the last part in "in connection with a war or other military operation or national emergency". Like you ignore the first half of the second amendment. It's so weird how our laws have words in them that you're not supposed to read.

Making 3D games in Unity means hour long compiles are frequent. If I'm in an office, I have to sit and stare at a progress bar. If I'm working from home, I go for a bike ride or do yard work while I wait. That time gets put to use if I'm home.

I'm not going to complain if a store wants to increase my % of the revenue, but this is the kind of stuff that only matters if you're already doing way better than most developers ever do.

You can code a simple 2D game from scratch much faster than you can learn how to do it in Unity.

I don't agree with most of this. F2P developers seem to be the ones hit hardest by this licensing. If the goal was really just to get money from the F2P megahits, the thresholds would've been way higher. The current terms are devastating to most successful F2P businesses.
