More new discoveries in . I love that in this temple to a goddess you also find objects depicting traditional ian symbols such as the udjat eye and djed pillar. A glimpse of the multiculturalism of late pharaonic history.

in 394 CE, at the temple of Isis at Philae, the last known hieroglyphic inscription was carved. It honours the god Mandulis, named as Isisā€™ son, and was left by the Beja people who were among the Nubian communities who had kept the temple alive.
