The house-museum of 🇺🇦 naive artist Polina Raiko in the city of Oleshki, in the Kherson region, may be under threat of destruction due to the explosion of the Kakhovskaya HPP that russia did today. The worst technogenic catastrophes since Chornobyl.

Felt in love with Vasyl Tarnovsky, junior,🇺🇦 philanthropist, a cultural and public figure, and owner of a collection of 🇺🇦cultural and historical artifacts (later, the museum opened in Chernihiv in 1902).

Portrait made in 1860s by Andrii Horonovych (1818-1889). Gorgeous! 😍

The walls, ceilings, doors of a 6-room house, gates, fences, and garage gates served as canvases for the rural artist. Polina Rayko loved to draw birds of different shapes, colors, and species.

Happy birthday to this account. A year ago, I created it because there were no accounts about 🇺🇦art at all. I didn't expect there would be more than 24 thousand of you! Ukrainian art worth to be knowing. Thank you.

Ukrainian art history is sensitive content for Elon Mask and Twitter. It's shadowed on twitter. The Ukrainian girl in Mykola Pymonenko's (1862-1912) painting asks 'Are you kidding me?'

Maybe, I should move to Instagram?
