Sheesh. Also-- Good job by reporter in noting Romero's rationale ("it won't lower home prices") has been disproven by academic research.

Sixty years ago yesterday, May 25, 1965, the great Neil Leifer took this photo of Muhammad Ali knocking down Sonny Liston just 1 minute and 44 seconds into their title bout. Many consider it the best sports photo ever taken.

Democrats actually lost *the most* ground in NYC/LA in 2024. Lot of questions about why, and their strategy clearly isn’t working, but we should acknowledge that Dems have huge and rapidly developing problems in urban America. They lost minimal ground with rural voters in 2024.

Overnight, the Texas House advanced three bills aimed at tackling the state's housing affordability crunch: -SB 1567, relaxes occupancy restrictions in college towns -SB 785, allows smaller apartment buildings -SB 2835, allows manufactured homes #txlege

AURA was proud to advocate for this bill every step of the way! We'd like to thank James Talarico and Senator Nathan Johnson for all of their work on statewide single-stair. Thank you also to Texas 2036 and Texans for Housing for their tireless work on this common sense reform!

Big housing news in Texas! SB 2835, a statewide framework to develop single stair housing, is on its way to the Governor's desk. Huge thanks to Senator Nathan Johnson and James Talarico for championing this bill through the process.

Since we're having a civilized debate for once on what the public wants from Democrats, here are the top battleground Democrats in 2024 by Split Ticket WAR : 1. Bohannan (IA-01) — D+11 2. Tester (MT-SEN) — D+10 3. Peltola (AK-AL) — D+9 4. Stelson (PA-10) — D+9 5. Rivet (MI-08)

If President Trump wants the Fed to cut rates, he should push the Senate to put site-neutral Medicare payments back on the table as they finalize the reconciliation bill. Site-neutral payments can help lower inflation, giving the Fed room to cut.

Important dynamic to understand for anyone blocking certain other forms of low-cost energy from getting to its customers (or failing to address regulatory barriers to those forms of energy coming online).
