Yday Roeland Bom shared what he has been doing since joining Eco Flyway in late december, with his family tagging along. Feeding #ecology, #migratory #behaviour, #phenology & #conservation. Super exciting stuff! Global Flyway Network CESAM - Centre of Environmental and Marine Studies UAResearch Wadden & Delta Centre University of Groningen

A very nice ring reading day in #extremadura for Global Flyway Network in a very wet area, never seen it so wet in 6 years. But despite the wetness low number of bl.t.#godwit so far. Max. 1000 normally >2000 birds last years! Are they all in #Tagus? Wader Quest Wader Study Eco Flyway

Delighted for Hugo Ferreira who successfully defended his #PhD thesis at UAResearch on the demography, migration & breeding ecology of Eurasian #spoonbills. Congrats also to Jocelyn Champagnon & Tamar Lo, grt collaboration! Eco Flyway Global Flyway Network CESAM - Centre of Environmental and Marine Studies Tour du valat

Last friday we had the pleasure to host & learn more about Ana Sanz Aguilar work across multiple systems: seabirds, waterbirds, vultures & reptiles. And how using CMR methods can be extremely useful in #biodiversity #conservation! Eco Flyway Global Flyway Network IMEDEA (UIB-CSIC) UAResearch

Latest Wadertales by Graham Appleton highlights valuable lessons from combining #wader #tracking data & encourages to properly archive such datasets, so that these can be used beyond their original purpose to further extent our knowledge #biodiversity wadertales.wordpress.com

Check ou this #PhD #opportunity with Carlos David Santos & myself. Intertidal habitats & sea level rise, what could possibly go wrong? The more we figure out, the better we can respond #biodiversity #conservation #waders Eco Flyway Global Flyway Network Wader Study EAAFP WHSG
