Star Dust at 97 To celebrate the 75th anniversary of Hoagy Carmichael's "Star Dust" in 2002, I wrote a long story about the song for Detroit Free Press. Halloween 2024 marks the 97th birthday of the tune. Here's how I started my piece 22 years ago:
