In storm chasing, overconfidence can be deadly. On April 13, 2012, we saw this rather unimpressive storm near Cooperton, Oklahoma. It was "only" severe-warned, so we decided to enter the Bear's Cage to see what was inside the rain. Here's what happened next: 1/12

Slim line of light to moderate rain moving from Northeast to southeast across central Mississippi currently, within the next hour or so all the rain should be moved into portions of Alabama! Make Sure you have your umbrella ☔ handy if you have to head out tonight.

GFS has been trending to a possibility of severe weather across the Mississippi/Ohio valley towards the end of the month. While this is still far out and likely will change, its definitely something to keep an eye on. #mowx #arwx #ilwx #tornado

I know there's a historic winter storm impacting the Gulf Coast, but remember just a few months ago when hurricanes were the headline there? Welp, I just finished up my mini YouTube documentary from our Hurricane Milton chase and I hope you'll check it out. Grab a warm drink

The Groundhog missed the memo for the next 6-10 days across the Deep South! Spring-like warmth is here to stay in the short term. More-so like March or April temperatures on the way — we will monitor for a flip back to unseasonable cold beyond February 12. Stay tuned!

Sooooo….. I made an app to easily view visual weather model data on the go and on your phone. It’s a work in progress definitely needs some bug fixes and planning to add more models and features in the future. Crazy to see this. Feel free to support! apps.apple.com/us/app/pocket-…

People will say “Good! Do away with climate change propaganda! It’s a waste of money!” And then go check models for their next chase, and then use SPC outlooks, and RadarScope (or any other radar app) products, and then make reports to the NWS… as if NOAA isn’t the reason they
