New Jersey's 3rd Congressional District is an odd one. It combines the suburbs of Philadelphia with the Jersey shore. There are various ways to improve it after redistricting, one of which would be to keep it based in Burlington County, but add parts of Mercer and Camden County.

TheNotoriousPIF #FlyTogether🦆 @ElectionLopez Niles Francis I made this map just the other day, as I too was curious if R seats could be drawn in Massachusetts. The gray district would have been won by Trump by 2 points in 2016, while HRC would've won the green one by just 4 points. So, at least the former would likely be a swing seat.

After the 2020 Census, redistricting in Kansas could look something like this. While KS-2 and especially KS-1 have lost people since 2010, KS-4 has mostly held steady and KS-3 has grown significantly. In this map (2017 data), KS-1 expands to the east while KS-3 shrinks. #kspol

Although NE-2 is a competitive district, it has two distinct halves. In blue is the diverse part of the district based in Omaha, which Clinton won by 25% in 2016; Trump won the red portion by 20%. Clinton matched Obama in the blue but turnout surged in the red from 2008 to 2016.

If you are a Sanders supporter, you are hoping that early voting in Super Tuesday States (especially in California and Texas) prevents Biden from gaining a lot of momentum from this win. #SCprimary2020

#AskDrGottlieb As a country we have greatly increased our testing capacity. Why then are we still only capturing 10 to 15 percent of the total infections each day?

#AskDrGottlieb Once a vaccine is approved by the FDA, how long will it take to manufacture the millions of doses needed?

Last week, I started my own politics newsletter, and in my latest post, I discuss how the polls of red states offer some good news for Biden. Trump is polling especially poorly in Alaska and Utah, which could be significant. Take a look at what I wrote. countdownto2024.substack.com/p/a-brief-look…
