In Duke Nukem: Zero Hour, posters for "Bolok: Alien Hunter" can be spotted throughout levels taking place in New York City. These are a spoof of "Turok: Dinosaur Hunter"; another popular shooter for the Nintendo 64. "Bolok" is also similar to bollocks; a slang word for testicles.

The Duke Nukem: Zero Hour level "Going Down" takes place on the ill-fated RMS Titanic, and as such, contains a boatload (har har) of references to the 1997 James Cameron blockbuster hit. One of them is a shaking car in the cargo hold, referencing the film's sex scene.

I've seen this supposed Duke Nukem 3D ad get passed off as real and go viral twice within 24 hours. It's not real, and here's a detailed 🧵 debuking it:

Some of the Duke console ports are starting to get on a bit. Just noticed that Duke Nukem: Zero Hour for the Nintendo 64 turns 25 today, having been released 1 Sep 1999. Had one of the best commercials for a video game during my time there. Funny as hell.

Is there a gameplay feature from one of the Duke Nukem spin-offs that you think would be great in a mainline entry? (E.g., Manhattan Project's Ego mechanic or Zero Hour's Babe saving)

An industry insider friend told me that there's a working version of Duke Nukem D-Day that's been found, a never finished game from around 2007-08 time frame. I expect video footage will be posted soon by whomever has it. This was a project Apogee had partnered with N-Space to
