Astonishing that not a single Health minister was prepared to go on BBC Radio 4 Today to explain their abysmal failure to avert junior doctors’ strikes. Rishi Sunak says he “wouldn’t want to get in the middle of” NHS pay disputes. Patients are suffering as a result of his cowardice.

Deafening silence from the Health Secretary following the news that consultants have voted to strike. This is an unmitigated disaster of the Government’s making that threatens to add to more than 650,000 cancelled and delayed operations and appointments. Wake up Silent Steve!

The Prime Minister hasn’t lifted a finger to negotiate an end to NHS strikes, which have led to hundreds of thousands of delayed operations and appointments, and the risk that doctors quit the NHS altogether. Doctors and patients deserve better.

Apparently no money to pay doctors £22.67/hr. But £1,300,000,000 to pay management consultants. Now we know where the money is going @Wesstreeting.

Well done Emma Runswick 🏳️‍🌈 on BBC Radio 4 Today - clear explanation as to why resident doctors need pay restoration Despite Nick Robinson constantly interrupting and not letting you finish a single sentence Resident doctors deserve pay restoration to 2008 levels at the very least

If resident doctors are so imp for the NHS, why not just pay them £22p/h Wes Streeting? Every day, NHS hospital rotas run on dangerous staffing, with zero consequences! Employees can strike w'out informing their boss. Managers have next 2 weeks to plan! theguardian.com/politics/2025/…

Thanks to Prof Leng for her work on the issue of PA/AAs, but the medical profession is clear: The Leng review Report is not sufficient to protect patients & doctors Issues on scope of practice, cost effectiveness and patient safety remain! BMA Scotland bma.org.uk/bma-media-cent…

Physician associates who assist doctors in GP surgeries and hospitals will now be known as assistants. Health Secretary Wes Streeting says this "better describes the role that they do". Read more ➡️ trib.al/aKsx2Nx

A strong united message from the UKRDC Resident Doctors Wes Streeting and this Labour govt continue to undervalue and underpay, highly-skilled Doctors who are struggling in today's NHS. This is the last resort - now this govt & the public need to get serious about funding our NHS

The surgery will remain open as normal during the Resident Doctors strikes. We fully support the doctors who are seeking pay restoration after years of underfunding. bma.org.uk/bma-media-cent…

The British public need to know that politicians do not have their back. Wes Streeting directly told you what the tactics of the Prime Minister are when it comes to the NHS Keir Starmer is no different

From their own words, ANPs ie a Nurse w/o medical degree, boasting they did everything without any doctors around, & replaced *Resident* doctor roles, even if outside their scope of practice This is dangerous & negligent. Patients have and will come to harm in this experiment

A clear and definitive statement from the British Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine... Non-doctors are not an acceptable replacement to be a Consultant for hospital patients. Respect all colleagues for their skills but don't accept risky Doctor Replacement agenda

CONFIRMED ✅ ACPs are directly aimed at taking up the role of a qualified doctor. An ACP is a nurse, paramedic, physio etc, who is doing the job of a doctor, without any medical degree. Not "complementary".... not "supportive"..not an "extras pair of hands"....a direct swap
