A patient with acute cognitive disturbance, characterized by agraphia, acalculia, left right disorientation, and digital agnosia. The so-called Gertsmann syndrome. Any comments on this MRI? Does it contribute to the explanation of the cognitive disorder? What about etiology?

Check out our latest report of a potential new early #cerebralamyloidangiopathy related #inflammation neuroimaging biomarker: sulcal hyperintensity UCLH UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology Neurology Journal - which could allow earlier diagnosis...but more research is needed! Everything is changing in neurology. Everywhere. All the time. The landscape of dementia has been particularly dynamic, in ways that matter to patients, families, and clinicians So why did we create this issue on Dementia, just 2 years after our last one?

Medicine and #psychiatry in this country changed significantly today. Let’s hope this shift doesn’t come at the cost of quality #palliative care, or lead to premature, unnecessary deaths among the vulnerable, poor, and mentally ill. Time for the Lords to earn its keep…

Important study & big step forward for treatment-resistant #depression. 48wk RCT, #pramipexole showed ~4-point QIDS-SR benefit over placebo. Less hype, but bigger effects than psychedelic trials, for a scalable option that’s available to clinicians now. thelancet.com/journals/lanps…

I think this is the most exciting thing to happen in depression for research for at least the last decade. Pramipexole works for TRD.
