Excellent Podcast by bidfood.co.uk about the serious state of the school meals service. It appears that the 2 main parties aren’t listening. Huge disparity between the money allocated to Scotland and Wales with English children trailing far behind. Bidfood UK

What a difference a few days make and I don’t find this easy to say, but after catching part of Good Morning Britain including the interview with Darren Jones MP and Tony Robinson Andrew Pierce and Kevin Maguire my political thoughts and outlook have changed from hopelessness to hopefulness.

I cannot believe it was 25 years ago today that I had my viva voce exam to defend my PhD thesis and research. It was conducted by my public health hero Prof Hugh Pennington and Prof Sue Balloch at University of Brighton in collaboration with King's College London Uni Brighton alumni

Interesting to read in Chartered Institute of Environmental Health News that the Food Standards Agency have highlighted that customers using a food establishment with a low food hygiene rating (2 or lower) are twice as likely to contract a food-borne disease. I say… ‘Only visit a food business with a score of 3, 4 or 5’.
