Reminder: not all rhinitis is allergic. Diagnosis of AR requires evidence of IgE sensitization (skin testing > serum specific IgE). Don’t tell your patients they have allergies before they’ve had testing.

This reflects the complexity of the barriers to health care experienced by the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. Not only does this demonstrate institutional biases & homophobia, the response from the Dept of Health demonstrates their gaps in understanding of those issues. 1/13

Was asked to complete an 11 page form so a patient with #FoodAllergy could travel on a WestJet flight. Most food allergens are not airborne. This policy creates barriers for food allergy patients, does not improve safety, and downloads work onto doctors.
