🌟Pride & Joy in working in Primary Care is found in a caring team working at the their full potential, not in meeting demand🌟 An analogy ⬇️ Recently I was in a long queue for a restaurant. Waiters had our reservation. They looked v busy We wondered 'Have they forgotten us?' 1/5

The role of Physician and Anaesthetic Associates has hit the headlines recently – if you haven’t heard of these roles before, they are what were previously called Physician Assistants. Physician Assistants have been around since 2004 but the name was changed in 2014 to 1/n

When asking GPS not to work to rule what are you asking is for people to work for free for the good of the NHS. Enforced voluntary work. Gps are tired of this as the asks get increasingly wild and ridiculous. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

No Department of Health and Social Care Wes Streeting Stephen Kinnock it won’t cover GP Partners 7.4% of 65% of Practice income (Global Sum) only gives 4.8% uplift out of which 6% pay rises for other staff reduces this for Partners to 2-3% Needs to be 6% on all income or 9.2% on Global Sum Thanks for trying

I have yet to hear a single coherent argument as to why the costs of essentials like food and water are rising while the profits made off those essentials soar. I’ll wait.

Every single care worker I have ever met has more compassion, empathy and has fulfilled a much more useful and valued role in our society than herself.

It’s time to stop using sessions to measure how long doctors work for each week and start using the actual hours they work. Using sessions considerably underestimates the hours that doctors work as much of the work doctors do takes place after their “working session” has ended.

My number appears to have made its way onto a scam callers database. Hooray. Auto-blocking the calls, but starting to wonder if I should play this recorded message each time…

Imagine the headline when a GP practice fails patient care due to lack of training in … Safeguarding Resuscitation Doesn’t follow current guidelines on care FYI this has been happening up and down the country for decades to make sure patients are kept safe BBC News (UK) do better

I remember working in A&E when the waiting time would always be back down to less than an hour by the time overnight shift ended…if it’s already 5 hours at 0900 Monday morning, it’s only going in one direction - how times have changed ☹️ hope things get sorted for you quickly

It’s hard to describe what it feels like to be a GP. Sitting in a room alone, with patients rotating in and out, tackling a never-ending list—there’s no space to breathe. It can be relentless. 🧵
